Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the snorting runners (the horses), 1 then raise sparks of fire (by their hoofs), 2 And scouring to the raid at dawn 3 Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, 4 thereby storming [blindly] into any host! 5 Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord 6 And to that (fact) he bears witness (by his deeds); 7 And is intractable in his love of worldly goods. 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 And the secrets of the hearts exposed, 10 Surely on that Day will their Lord be fully informed about them. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
