۞ (And it is said unto the angels): Assemble those who did wrong, together with their wives and what they used to worship 22 "Instead of Allah, and lead them on to the way of flaming Fire (Hell); 23 "But stop them, for they must be asked: 24 What aileth you that ye help not one another? 25 Nay! on that Day they will be entirely submissive. 26 And they will approach one another blaming each other. 27 Some [of them] will say: "Behold, you were wont to approach us [deceptively] from the right!" 28 They will say, "No! It was you who would not believe -- 29 Moreover, we had no power at all over you: nay, you were people filled with overweening arrogance! 30 "So now the Word of our Lord has been justified against us, that we shall certainly (have to) taste (the torment). 31 we perverted you, indeed, we were perverts' 32 So all of them on that day are sharers in the chastisement. 33 That is how We deal with sinners. 34 For when it was said to them: 'There is no god except Allah' they were always proud 35 And they used to say, “Shall we forsake our Gods upon the sayings of a mad poet?” 36 In fact he has brought the Truth, and testified for the Noble Messengers! 37 Indeed, you [disbelievers] will be tasters of the painful punishment, 38 and not be recompensed, except according to what you were doing.' 39 Except the chosen bondmen of Allah. 40 For them there will be a known provision (in Paradise). 41 Fruits. And they will be honoured 42 In the Gardens of delight (Paradise), 43 Facing one another on thrones, 44 Cups of wine will be presented to them in rounds, from a spring flowing in front of them. 45 white and delicious to those who drink it, 46 there is neither sickness in it, nor intoxication. 47 They will have with them loving wives with big black and white eyes 48 As if they were eggs carefully protected. 49 Then they will turn to one another, mutually questioning. 50 The speaker among them said, “I had a companion.” 51 who used to ask, 'Do you really believe that 52 After we are dead and have become all dust and bones shall we still be requited?' 53 He said: 'Will you look down?' 54 Then looketh he and seeth him in the depth of hell. 55 He will say, "By God! You almost brought me to ruin! 56 for had it not been for my Sustainer's favour, I would surely be [now] among those who are given over [to suffering]! 57 So, are we not going to die, 58 except for our first death? Are we not going to be punished? 59 Most surely this is the mighty achievement. 60 and for the like of this let the workers work. 61 Is Paradise a better accommodation or the tree of zaqqum? 62 Which We have reserved as punishment for evil-doers? 63 Surely it is a tree that-grows in the bottom of the hell; 64 Its emerging fruit as if it was heads of the devils. 65 And indeed, they will eat from it and fill with it their bellies. 66 On top of it they shall have a brew of boiling water, 67 Then their return will be to the same blazing Hell. 68 for, behold, they found their forebears on a wrong way, 69 and they run in their footsteps. 70 Thus, indeed, most of the people of old went astray before them, 71 And indeed We had sent Heralds of warnings among them. 72 and behold what happened in the end to those that had been warned [to no avail]! 73 Except the chosen slaves of Allah (faithful, obedient, and true believers of Islamic Monotheism). 74

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
