Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 For a known calculated term. 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
