The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the (angels) who tear out (the souls of the wicked) with violence; 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), 3 Then outpace the others swiftly 4 Then those who regulate the affair. 5 The Day when the quaking will cause a violent convulsion, 6 Followed by the second blast, 7 Hearts on that day shall palpitate, 8 and eyes will be humbly cast down. 9 The disbelievers say, “Will we really return to our former state?” 10 even after we have turned into decayed bones?" 11 and they say, "That indeed would be a losing return." 12 It will be only one scaring shout, 13 and behold! They will all come out in the open. 14 Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 'Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent. 17 And say, "Hast thou the will to purify thyself; 18 "'And that I guide thee to thy Lord, so thou shouldst fear Him?'" 19 Then Moses (went to Pharaoh and) showed him the Great Sign; 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned his back, striving. 22 Then gathered he and summoned 23 And said, "I am your most exalted lord." 24 So Allah, seized him with punishment for his last [i.e. his saying: "I am your lord, most high") (see Verse 79:24)] and first [(i.e. his saying, "O chiefs! I know not that you have a god other than I" (see Verse 28:38)] transgression. 25 Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. 26
