1/2 Hizb 45

۞ (God will command the angels), "Gather together the unjust, their spouses, and what they had worshipped 22 Instead of Allah, and lead them to the path to hell; 23 And stop them, for they shall be questioned: 24 What aileth you that ye succour not one another? 25 Nay, but that day they shall submit (to Judgment); 26 And they will turn to one another and question one another. 27 Saying: "It were you who imposed yourselves upon us." 28 They shall say: Nay, you (yourselves) were not believers; 29 "And we had no authority over you. Nay! But you were transgressing people (disobedient, polytheists, and disbelievers). 30 But now our Sustainer's word has come true against us [as well]: verily, we are bound to taste [the fruit of our sins]. 31 We mislead you and we ourselves had also gone astray." 32 So all of them on that day are sharers in the chastisement. 33 Certainly, that is how We deal with Al-Mujrimun (polytheists, sinners, criminals, the disobedient to Allah, etc.). 34 for, behold, whenever they were told, "There is no deity save God," they would glory in their arrogance 35 and said: “Shall we forsake our deities for the sake of a distracted poet?” 36 Aye! he hath come with the truth, and he confesseth to the sent ones. 37 Verily, you (pagans of Makkah) are going to taste the painful torment; 38 and not be recompensed, except according to what you were doing.' 39 But the chosen servants of God; 40 For them is the sustenance known to Us. 41 Fruits (Delights); and they (shall enjoy) honour and dignity, 42 In the Gardens of delight, 43 seated on couches, facing one another. 44 With cups from a flowing stream being passed around, 45 White, delicious to the drinkers, 46 but not harmful or intoxicating. 47 And with them will be women limiting [their] glances, with large, [beautiful] eyes, 48 As if they were [delicate] eggs, well-protected. 49 And they will approach one another, inquiring of each other. 50 A speaker of them saith: Lo! I had a comrade 51 who would say: "Are you among the believers (of the resurrection)? 52 "'When we die and become dust and bones, shall we indeed receive rewards and punishments?'" 53 Do you want to see him?' " 54 So he looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. 55 And he will say: by Allah, thou hadst wellnigh causedest me to perish. 56 for had it not been for my Sustainer's favour, I would surely be [now] among those who are given over [to suffering]! 57 What then, shall we not die 58 "Except our first death, and that we shall not be punished?" 59 Indeed, this is the great attainment. 60 For this the toilers should strive." 61 Is this better as an entertainment or the tree of Zaqqum? 62 We have appointed it as a trial for the evildoers. 63 It is a tree that grows in the nethermost part of Hell. 64 Its fruit like the heads of demons. 65 The dwellers of hell will eat that fruit and fill-up their bellies. 66 On top of it they shall have a brew of boiling water, 67 Then indeed, their return will be to the Hellfire. 68 They found their fathers in error, 69 Yet they hasten to follow in their footsteps. 70 And assuredly many of the ancients went astray before them, 71 and We sent among them warners; 72 Then see the nature of the consequence for those warned, 73 Except the sincere (and devoted) Servants of Allah. 74

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
