3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And indeed Nooh prayed to Us so what an excellent Acceptor of Prayer We are! 75 And We delivered him and his followers from the mighty distress. 76 and caused his offspring to endure [on earth]; 77 And left (his name) for posterity. 78 Peace and salutation to Nuh among the nations. 79 Thus indeed do we reward those who do right. 80 He was one of Our believing servants. 81 Thereafter We caused the others to be drowned. 82 ۞ And indeed, among his kind was Abraham, 83 when he came unto his Lord with a pure heart, 84 When he said to his father (paternal uncle) and his people, “What do you worship?” 85 Do you want to worship false idols as your lords besides God? 86 What do you imagine the Lord of the worlds to be?" 87 Then he looked carefully at the stars 88 and said, "I am sick!" 89 so they turned their backs on him and went off. 90 Then he turned to their gods, and said: 'What do you eat? 91 “What is the matter with you, that you do not say anything?” 92 And he turned upon them striking them with the right hand. 93 Then the people came toward him, hastening. 94 He said, "How can you worship what you yourselves have carved 95 the while it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 "Build a pyre for him and throw him into the raging fire." 97 Their desire was to outwit him, but We made them to be the humiliated. 98 And he said: Lo! I am going unto my Lord Who will guide me. 99 My Lord! grant me of the doers of good deeds. 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy, possessing forbearance. 101 And when he became capable of working with him, Ibrahim said, “O my son, I dreamt that I am sacrificing you therefore now consider what is your opinion”; he said, “O my father! Do what you are commanded! Allah willing, you will soon find me patiently enduring!” 102 When both surrendered (to Allah's command) and Abraham flung the son down on his forehead, 103 And We called out to him: "O Abraham! 104 you have confirmed your vision' As such We recompense the gooddoers. 105 This is indeed the manifest trial.' 106 Then We ransomed him with a tremendous victim. 107 And We left for him among the posterity: 108 Salamun (peace) be upon Ibrahim (Abraham)!" 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good. 110 Verily he was one of Our believing bondmen. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaque (Isaac) a Prophet from the righteous. 112 and blessed him and Isaac too: some of their offspring were good, but some clearly sinned against their souls. 113
