We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And saved them and their people from great distress, 115 And We helped them, so they overcame (their troubles); 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 and left for them among the later folk 119 'Peace be upon Moses and, Aaron!' 120 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 And verily, Iliyas (Elias) was one of the Messengers. 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and Cherisher and the Lord and Cherisher of your fathers of old?" 126 In response they denied him, so they will surely be brought forth as captives. 127 except the sincere servants of God. 128 and him We left thus to be remembered among later generations: 129 "Peace be upon Elijah and his followers!" 130 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers, who perform good deeds totally for Allah's sake only - see V. 2:112). 131 He was one of Our believing servants. 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 Recall what time We delivered him and his household, all. 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 Then We totally destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 And at night; will you not then reflect? 138
