Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
HAS THERE COME unto thee the tiding of the Overshadowing Event? 1 Some faces that Day shall be downcast with fear, 2 Laboring, toiling, 3 Entering into burning fire, 4 Drinking from a boiling spring, 5 They shall have no food but of thorns, 6 Which shall neither nourish nor avail against hunger. 7 Faces on that day jocund, 8 well pleased with the result of their striving, 9 in a Garden on high, 10 wherein they shall hear no vain talk. 11 In it is a flowing spring. 12 therein uplifted couches 13 Goblets placed (ready), 14 cushions ranged, 15 And rich carpets (all) spread out. 16 Will they not then consider the camels, how they are created? 17 And the heavens, how it was raised high; 18 And at the Mountains, how they are fixed firm?- 19 and how the earth is spread out? 20 Admonish thou then; thou art but an admonisher. 21 Thou art not one to manage (men's) affairs. 22 Save the one who turns away and disbelieves 23 Allah will chastise him with the greatest chastisement. 24 Certainly, it is to Us that they will return. 25 And Ours their reckoning. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
