The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and-backbiter, 1 Who amasses wealth and hordes it. 2 Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! 3 Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One. 4 And what can make you know what is the Crusher? 5 (It is) the kindled Fire of Allah, 6 Reaching right into the hearts of men, 7 It will engulf them. 8 in towering columns. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
