Al-Najm 3 of 3
Hast thou considered him who turns his back 33 who gave a little, and then stopped? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 To wit, that a burthened soul shall not bear the burthen of another. 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 And only then will he receive his recompense in full; 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep; 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 and that it is He who creates the two kinds - the male and the female 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 That He hath promised a Second Creation (Raising of the Dead); 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 And that He (Allah) is the Lord of Sirius (the star which the pagan Arabs used to worship); 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 And that it is He Who threw down the upturned townships? 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 Then which of the Graces of your Lord (O man!) will you doubt. 55 He (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 What is to come is imminent. 57 There is no one to unveil it apart from God. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 And do you laugh instead of weeping, 60 while you make merry? 61 So make obeisance to Allah and serve (Him). ۩ 62

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
