Al-Infitaar
Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 And when the seas are burst forth (got dried up); 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O MAN! What is it that lures thee away from thy bountiful Sustainer, 6 Who created you proportionately and fashioned you 7 Into whatsoever form He will, He casteth thee. 8 Despite this, you deny the Day of Judgment, 9 But verily, over you (are appointed angels in charge of mankind) to watch you. 10 Noble and recording; 11 who know all that you do: 12 Lo! the righteous verily will be in delight. 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 Again, what could let you know what the Day of Recompense is! 18 The day on which no soul shall control anything for (another) soul; and the command on that day shall be entirely Allah's. 19
