The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven and the night-comer 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 (It is) the Star of piercing brightness;- 3 For every soul there is a watcher. 4 Let the human being reflect that from what he has been created. 5 He was created of spurting water 6 that issues from between the loins and the ribs. 7 Verily, (Allah) is Able to bring him back (to life)! 8 on the Day when consciences are examined, 9 he will have no power, nor anyone to help him. 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 this is indeed a Decisive Word, 13 And is not a matter of amusement. 14 Behold, they [who refuse to accept it] devise many a false argument [to disprove its truth]; 15 And I secretly plan. 16 Therefore give them some respite give them some time. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
