The human being says, "Shall I be brought to life again after I will die?" 66 Remembereth not man that We created him afore when he was not aught? 67 So by your Lord, We will surely gather them and the devils; then We will bring them to be present around Hell upon their knees. 68 Then We will surely extract from every sect those of them who were worst against the Most Merciful in insolence. 69 Again We do certainly know best those who deserve most to be burned therein. 70 and there is not one of you but shall pass through it: a decree from your Lord which must be fulfilled. 71 And once again: We shall save [from hell] those who have been conscious of Us; but We shall leave in it the evildoers, on their knees. 72 When Our clear revelations are recited to them, those who deny the truth say to the faithful, "Which of the two sides is better in respect of position and makes a more impressive assembly?" 73 We have destroyed so many generations before them, who surpassed them in material power and splendour. 74 Say: "Ar-Rahman extends the life of those who are astray until they come to realise what had been promised them was either (physical) affliction or (the terror) of Resurrection. Then will they know who is worse in position, and who is weak in supporters. 75 And God endows those who avail themselves of [His] guidance with an ever-deeper consciousness of the right way; and good deeds, the fruit whereof endures forever, are, in thy Sustainer's sight, of far greater merit [than any worldly goods,] and yield far better returns. 76 Hast thou seen him who disbelieves in Our signs and says, 'Assuredly I shall be given wealth and children'? 77 Has he penetrated to the Unseen, or has he taken a contract with (Allah) Most Gracious? 78 No, indeed! We shall assuredly write down all that he says, and We shall prolong for him the chastisement; 79 And it is We only Who shall inherit what he says (belongs to him), and he will come to Us, alone. 80 And they have taken gods beside Allah that they might be unto them a glory. 81 By no means! They shall soon deny their worshipping them, and they shall be adversaries to them. 82
