The people of Noah [too] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 105 When their fellowman Nooh said to them, “Do you not fear?” 106 Behold, I am an apostle [sent by Him] to you, [and therefore] worthy of your trust: 107 so fear Allah and obey me. 108 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds: 109 "So keep your duty to Allah, fear Him and obey me." 110 ۞ They answered: "Shall we accept you even though it is the meanest of people who follow you?" 111 He said, "And what is my knowledge of what they used to do? 112 Their account falls only upon My Lord, if you were but aware. 113 I will not drive away the believers. 114 “I am not but clearly a Herald of Warning.” 115 They said, "Noah, if you do not desist, you will, certainly, be stoned to death." 116 He prayed: "O Lord, verily my people accuse me of lies. 117 So open between me and them an opening, and save me and the believers who are with me' 118 And so We saved him and those [who were] with him in the fully-laden ark, 119 and then We caused those who stayed behind to drown. 120 Surely in that is a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 121 And thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 122
