Say: 'I am only a warner. There is no god except Allah, the One, the Conqueror, 65 Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, all-mighty, all-forgiving." 66 Say: It is tremendous tidings 67 [how can] you turn away from it?" 68 I had no knowledge of the High Council when they disputed. 69 It is revealed unto me only that I may be a plain warner. 70 (Remember) when your Lord said to the angels: "Truly, I am going to create man from clay". 71 And when I have made him and have breathed into him of My spirit. Fall down in homage before him." 72 Then the angels, all of them, prostrated themselves before Adam 73 except Iblis. He waxed proud and became one of the unbelievers. 74 Said He: "O Iblis! What has kept thee from prostrating thyself before that [being] which I have created with My hands? Art thou too proud [to bow down before another created being,] or art thou of those who think [only] of themselves as high?" 75 He replied: “I am nobler than he. You created me from fire and created him from clay.” 76 (God) said: "Then go hence, ostracised. 77 Upon thee shall rest My curse, till the Day of Doom.' 78 [Iblis (Satan)] said: "My Lord! Give me then respite till the Day the (dead) are resurrected." 79 The Lord said, "You will only be given a respite 80 Till the appointed day." 81 (Iblis) said: “By Your glory, I shall mislead them all 82 except for those among them who are Your chosen servants." 83 [And God] said: "This, then, is the truth! And this truth do I state: 84 That I will most certainly fill hell with you and with those among them who follow you, all. 85 Say (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) “I do not ask any fee from you for the Qur’an, and I am not a fabricator.” 86 This is nothing else but a reminder to all the worlds, 87 "And you shall certainly know the truth of it after a while. 88
