So did you observe him who turned away? 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Does he [claim to] have knowledge of something that is beyond the reach of human perception, so that he can see [it clearly]? 35 Or has he never yet been told of what was [said] in the revelations of Moses, 36 and of Abraham, who lived up to the trust? 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 and that man shall have nothing but what he has striven for, 39 and that his labouring shall surely be seen, 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 and that it is He who makes to die, and that makes to live, 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 From a sperm-drop when it is emitted 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 And that it is He Who has given wealth and contentment? 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 And the people of Nuh before; surely they were most unjust and inordinate; 52 and the Subverted City He also overthrew, 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Then at this statement do you wonder? 59 And keep laughing and do not weep, 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 So bow yourselves before God, and serve Him! ۩ 62
