The warnings also came to Pharaoh's people, 41 but they belied all Our signs so We seized them with the seizing of the Mighty, Powerful. 42 Are you disbelievers mightier than those of the nations which We destroyed before or have you received amnesty through the ancient Scriptures? 43 Or say they: We are a host victorious? 44 [Their] assembly will be defeated, and they will turn their backs [in retreat]. 45 Nay, but the Hour is their tryst, and the Hour is very calamitous and bitter. 46 Indeed the criminals are astray and insane. 47 On that Day they will be dragged into the fire faces foremost, (and told:) "Taste the feel of Hell." 48 Verily everything! We have created it by a measure. 49 And Our command is but one, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 And assuredly We have destroyed your likes; so is there any one who shall be admonished? 51 Every thing that they have done is in the Scrolls, 52 All things small or great have been written down. 53 Verily, The Muttaqun (pious), will be in the midst of Gardens and Rivers (Paradise). 54 in the seat of truth with an all-powerful sovereign. 55
