Nay, by the moon, 32 And [by] the night when it departs 33 and the morning when it appears, 34 hell is certainly the greatest calamity. 35 A warning to mortals, 36 To him among you who wishes to go forward or remain behind. 37 Every person is a pledge for what he has earned, 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 In Gardens, they seek answers, 40 About the guilty: 41 “What drove you to Hell?” 42 They shall say: We were not of those who prayed; 43 nor did we feed the destitute. 44 "And we used to talk falsehood (all that which Allah hated) with vain talkers. 45 and the Day of Judgment we were wont to call a lie 46 until certainty came upon us [in death]." 47 So no intercession of intercessors will be of any use to them. 48 Then what is wrong with them that they turn away from admonition, 49 like startled wild donkeys 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Rather, every person among them desires that he would be given scriptures spread about. 52 Nay! But they fear not the Hereafter (from Allah's punishment). 53 By no means! Verily this Qur'an is an admonition. 54 So whosoever will may heed. 55 And they will not remember except that Allah wills. He is worthy of fear and adequate for [granting] forgiveness. 56
