And assuredly We have created man and We know whatsoever his soul whispereth unto him, and We are nigher unto him than his jugular vein. 16 and the two recording angels are recording, sitting on the right and the left: 17 Not a word does he (or she) utter, but there is a watcher by him ready (to record it). 18 And the stupor of death will come in truth: "This is what you have been avoiding!" 19 And the Trumpet shall be blown: that will be the Day whereof Warning (had been given). 20 Each soul shall come with a driver, and a witness. 21 (And the driver will say:) "You were oblivious of this, so we have removed the veil, and how keen is your sight today!" 22 And his companions shall say: This is what is ready with me. 23 Do cast into hell every ungrateful, rebellious one, 24 "Who forbade what was good, transgressed all bounds, cast doubts and suspicions; 25 "Who set up another ilah (god) with Allah, then (both of you) cast him in the severe torment." 26 ۞ His satanic companion will say, "Our Lord, I did not mislead him, but he himself went astray". 27 He will say, “Do not dispute before Me – I had already warned you of the punishment.” 28 The Word is not changed with Me; I wrong not My servants.' 29
