The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the angels who drag forth vehemently. 1 By those who gently draw out (the souls of the blessed); 2 And [by] those who glide [as if] swimming 3 And who quickly present themselves. 4 by those that direct an affair! 5 A Day shall come whereon the quaking will quake, 6 Followed by the second blast, 7 hearts will undergo terrible trembling, 8 Unable to lift their gaze. 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 even after we have been reduced to bones, hollow and rotten?” 11 They will say: 'Then we are returned lost' 12 It will be only one scaring shout, 13 and then, lo, they will be fully awakened [to the truth]! 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: 17 And say to him, 'Would you [be willing to] purify yourself 18 Do you want me to guide you to your Lord, so that you should fear Him?'" 19 So he showed him the mighty sign. 20 But [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] belied and disobeyed; 21 Further, he turned his back, striving hard (against Allah). 22 then he mustered 23 and proclaimed, "I am your supreme Lord," 24 you pay attention 25 Verily herein is lesson for him who feareth. 26
