Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
Hast thou received the story of the Enveloper? 1 Some faces that Day shall be downcast with fear, 2 labouring, weary, 3 (Yet) Going into the blazing fire. 4 Given water from the boiling spring to drink. 5 They shall have no food except bitter dry thorns 6 Which doth not nourish nor release from hunger. 7 In that day other faces will be calm, 8 and pleased with the result of their deeds in the past. 9 They will live in an exalted garden 10 Wherein you shall not hear vain talk. 11 Therein will be a bubbling spring: 12 [and] there will be thrones [of happiness] raised high, 13 and prepared goblets, 14 cushions ranged, 15 and rich carpets levelled out. 16 Will they not then consider the camels, how they are created? 17 And the heaven, how it is reared aloft, 18 And the mountains – how they have been established? 19 how the earth was outstretched? 20 So remind, [O Muhammad]; you are only a reminder. 21 You are not a dictator over them. 22 Save the one who turns away and disbelieves 23 So Allah will mete out to him the greatest punishment. 24 Verily unto Us is their return. 25 and verily, It is for Us to call them to account. 26

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
