The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By those who set the ranks in battle order 1 And those who drive away (the wicked) with reproof 2 and those who recite the Exhortation; 3 Verily your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and of the earth and all that is between them, and Lord of the sun's risings. 5 We have adorned the lower heaven with the adornment of the stars 6 With security from every froward devil. 7 they listen not to the High Council, for they are pelted from every side, 8 Repelled; and for them is a constant punishment, 9 Except such as snatch away something by stealing and they are pursued by a flaming fire of piercing brightness. 10 Therefore ask them (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Are they a stronger creation, or are other things of our creation, (the angels, the heavens etc.)?” We have indeed created them from sticky clay. 11 No, you marvel, while they scoff. 12 When they are reminded, they do not remember. 13 And when they see a sign, they ridicule 14 And they say: "This is nothing but evident magic! 15 "What! When we have died and become dust and bones, will we be brought back to life again, 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Say, "Yes, and you will be [rendered] contemptible." 18 Then it will be a single (compelling) cry; and behold, they will begin to see! 19 And they shall say: O woe to us! this is the day of requital. 20 [And they will be told:] "This is the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false - the Day] which you were wont to call a lie!" 21
