And We have not created the heaven and the earth and whatsoever is in-between the twain in vain. That is the opinion of those who disbelieve. And woe unto those who disbelieve from the Fire. 27 Do We consider the righteously striving believers equal to the evil-doers in the land? Are the pious ones equal to those who openly commit sin? 28 It is a blessed Book which We have revealed for you so that you will reflect upon its verses and so the people of understanding will take heed. 29 And We gave unto David Solomon; how excellent a servant he was! He was a penitent. 30 When they brought fleet-footed chargers in the evening to show him, 31 he said: “Lo! I have come to love this wealth on account of the remembrance of my Lord.” And when the horses disappeared, 32 Then he said "Bring them (horses) back to me." Then he began to pass his hand over their legs and their necks (till the end of the display). 33 Surely We put Solomon to the test and cast upon his throne a mere body. Thereupon he penitently turned (to Us). 34 He said: “My Lord, forgive me and bestow upon me a kingdom such as none other after me will deserve. Surely You are the Bounteous Giver.” 35 We therefore gave the wind under his control, moving steadily by his command wherever he wished. 36 And the unruly, every builder and diver (made We subservient), 37 And also others bound in fetters. 38 We told him, "This is Our gift to you so give them away free or keep them as you like". 39 And verily, nearness to Us awaits him [in the life to come,] and the most beauteous of all goals! 40
