Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Qaf. CONSIDER this sublime Qur'an! 1 Nay, but they marvel that a warner of their own hath come unto them; and the disbelievers say: This is a strange thing: 2 When we are dead and have become dust (shall we be brought back again)? That would be a far return! 3 Well do We know how the earth consumes their bodies, for with Us is a record unfailing. 4 Rather, they belied the truth when it came to them, and now they are in a state of confusion. 5 Have they not looked at the sky above them, how We have fashioned and adorned it, and it has no flaw? 6 We stretched the earth and placed upon it firm stabilisers and We made every kind of splendid thing to grow upon it 7 This is a reminder and it sharpens the insight of every servant of God who turns to Him in repentance. 8 And We have sent down blessed rain from the sky and made grow thereby gardens and grain from the harvest 9 And the tall palm-trees having spadices closely set one above another, 10 As a provision for men, and enlivened a region that was dead. Even thus will be the life after death. 11 Denied before them (i.e. these pagans of Makkah who denied you, O Muhammad SAW) the people of Nuh (Noah), and the dwellers of Rass, and the Thamud, 12 Ad, the Pharaoh, Lot, 13 and the dwellers of the wooded dales [of Madyan,] and the people of Tubba: they all gave the lie to the apostles - and thereupon that whereof I had warned [them] came true. 14 Were We then weary with the first Creation, that they should be in confused doubt about a new Creation? 15
