Al-Duhaa

The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

I swear by the early hours of the day, 1 By the night when it darkeneth, 2 Thy Lord has neither forsaken thee nor hates thee 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 Your Lord will give you, and you will be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) an orphan and gave you a refuge? 6 And found you deeply engrossed in His love, so directed you? 7 And found you in need, so made you prosperous? 8 As for the orphan, do not oppress him, 9 Therefor the beggar drive not away, 10 And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). 11

True are the words of God the Almighty.
