The dead land is a sign for them. We revive it, and from it produce grain from which they eat. 33 and produced therein grains from which they eat and established therein gardens of palms trees and vineyards and have made streams flow therein 34 That they may eat of the fruit thereof, and their hands made it not. Will they not, then, give thanks? 35 Purity is to Him Who created all pairs, from what the earth grows, and of themselves, and from the things they do not know. 36 And a sign to them is the night: We draw forth from it the day, then lo! they are in the dark; 37 And the sun runs on its fixed course for a term (appointed). That is the Decree of the All-Mighty, the All-Knowing. 38 And (as for) the moon, We have ordained for it stages till it becomes again as an old dry palm branch. 39 It is not permitted to the sun that it should overtake the moon, nor can the night outstrip the day: each in an orbit, they float. 40 And an Ayah (sign) for them is that We bore their offspring in the laden ship [of Nuh (Noah)]. 41 and then created for them other vessels like those on which they ride. 42 We drown them if We will, then they have none to cry to, nor can they be saved, 43 unless it be a mercy from us, and as an enjoyment for a season. 44 When it is said to them: 'Have fear of that which is before you and behind you in order that you find mercy' 45 Not a Sign comes to them from among the Signs of their Lord, but they turn away therefrom. 46 And when it is said to them: "Spend of that with which Allah has provided you," those who disbelieve say to those who believe: "Shall we feed those whom, if Allah willed, He (Himself) would have fed? You are only in a plain error." 47 And they say, "When is this promise, if you should be truthful?" 48 They await only but a single Saihah (shout, etc.), which will seize them while they are disputing! 49 And they will not be able [to give] any instruction, nor to their people can they return. 50
