And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 75 And We rescued him and his family from the great distress (i.e. drowning), 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 And We left (this blessing) for him among generations to come in later times: 78 Salamun (peace) be upon Nuh (Noah) (from Us) among the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)!" 79 That is how We recompense the righteous: 80 Verily he was of Our bondmen believing. 81 Then We drowned the others. 82 ۞ AND, BEHOLD, of his persuasion was Abraham, too, 83 When he came to his Lord, with a sound heart. (Free from falsehood). 84 When he said to his father and his people: What is it that you worship? 85 Is it false deities that you want to serve rather than Allah? 86 What is then your idea about the Lord of the worlds? 87 Then he looked up at the stars (they worshipped), 88 And said, "I am sick," 89 So they departed from him turning their backs. 90 and he turned to their idols and asked them, "Do you eat? 91 What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?" 92 He struck them with his right hand. 93 His people came rushing towards him, 94 He answered: "Do you worship something that you [yourselves] have carved, 95 while it is Allah Who has created you and all that you make?” 96 They exclaimed: "Build a pyre for him, and cast him into the blazing fire!" 97 They had contrived an evil plan against him, but We abased them all. 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 My Lord, give me one of the righteous.' 100 We therefore gave him the glad tidings of an intelligent son. 101 And when he attained the age of running with him, he said: O my son! verily I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering thee; so look, what considerest thou? He said: O my father! do that which thou art commanded; thou shalt find me, Allah willing, of the patients. 102 When they submitted to the will of God, and (Abraham) laid (his son) down prostrate on his temple, 103 We called out to him "O Abraham! 104 you have fulfilled the dream." It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good, 105 It was certainly an open trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a Feat sacrifice. 107 and left for him among the later folk 108 Peace be with Abraham. 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 truly, he was one of Our faithful servants. 111 So We gave him the good news of Isaac, apostle, who is among the righteous. 112 We blessed him and Ishaque (Isaac), and of their progeny are (some) that do right, and some that plainly wrong themselves. 113
