We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 And rescued them and their people from the great calamity. 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 And We left for them [favorable mention] among later generations: 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Thus do We reward the doers of good 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 Recall what time he said unto his people: fear ye not? 124 Do you call upon Ba'l and leave the best of creators - 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 But not the servants of Allah, the purified ones. 128 And We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 Indeed, he was of Our believing servants. 132 And verily Lut was of the sent ones. 133 We saved him and all his people, 134 except for an old woman who remained behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine].
