NOW, VERILY, it is We who have created man, and We know what his innermost self whispers within him: for We are closer to him than his neck-vein. 16 Behold! when the two receivers receive - one on the right hand and one on the left a sitter. 17 whatever phrase he utters, an observer is present. 18 And the hardship of death came with the truth; “This is what you were escaping from!” 19 And the Horn shall be blown; that is the Day of Threat! 20 Each soul shall come with a driver, and a witness. 21 [It will be said], "You were certainly in unmindfulness of this, and We have removed from you your cover, so your sight, this Day, is sharp." 22 And his companions shall say: This is what is ready with me. 23 (And it is said): Do ye twain hurl to hell each rebel ingrate, 24 who hinders good, exceeds the limits, is immersed in doubts, 25 Who had set up another god with God. Cast him into severe torment." 26 ۞ His companion said: “I did not incite him to rebel; he was far gone into error of his own accord.” 27 [Allah] will say, "Do not dispute before Me, while I had already presented to you the warning. 28 “With Me, the decree does not change, and nor do I oppress the bondmen.” 29
