Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 As justification or warning, 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 until an appointed time? 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
