Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 And when the stars fall, scattering, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 when the tombs are overthrown, 4 everyone shall know all his deeds, both the earlier and the later. 5 O man! what has beguiled you from your Lord, the Gracious one, 6 who created you, formed you and proportioned you? 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 Yet over you there are watchers, 10 noble scribes 11 aware of whatever you do! 12 The virtuous ones will live in bliss 13 and the libertines shall be in a fiery furnace 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 And will not be able to hide from it. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again, what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
