The Sun (Al-Shams)
15 verses, revealed in Mecca after Destiny (Al-Qadr) before The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO witness the sun and his early morning splendour, 1 by the moon when it follows the sun, 2 and by the day when it displays him 3 and by the night as it envelopes the sun; 4 The heavens and its architecture, 5 by the earth and that (Power) which spread it out 6 And by Nafs (Adam or a person or a soul, etc.), and Him Who perfected him in proportion; 7 And inspired in it the knowledge of its sins and its piety. 8 Indeed successful is the one who made it pure. 9 And he is indeed a failure who stunteth it. 10 The Thamud tribe rejected the truth because of their arrogance, 11 when the most corrupt of them incited them (to commit evil). 12 although God's apostle had told them, "It is a she-camel belonging to God, so let her drink [and do her no harm]!" 13 However, they rejected him and slew her. So their Lord completely destroyed them and their city for their sins. 14 He does not fear the result (of their destruction). 15
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
