[Allah said], "O messengers, eat from the good foods and work righteousness. Indeed, I, of what you do, am Knowing. 51 And verily! This your religion (of Islamic Monotheism) is one religion, and I am your Lord, so keep your duty to Me. 52 But they (who claim to follow you) have torn their unity wide asunder, piece by piece, each group delighting in [but] what they themselves possess [by way of tenets]. 53 So leave them to their ignorance for a time. 54 Do they think that in giving them wealth and children 55 We hasten unto them with good things (in this worldly life so that they will have no share of good things in the Hereafter)? Nay, but they perceive not. 56 Surely those who tremble in fear of their Lord 57 and who believe in their Sustainer's messages, 58 And those who do not ascribe any partner to their Lord – 59 and those who give what they give, their hearts quaking that they are returning to their Lord -- 60 it is these who hasten to do good works and vie in so doing with one another. 61 We charge no soul with more than it can bear. We have a record which clearly shows the truth and they will not be wronged. 62 Yet their hearts are oblivious of this; and besides, they are busy with other things, 63 But then when We seize the affluent among them, they will cry out for help. 64 Invoke not loudly this day! Certainly, you shall not be helped by Us. 65 My verses were recited to you, but you turned upon your heels, 66 [and,] impelled by your arrogance, you would talk senselessly far into the night." 67 Have they not pondered over the word of God? Has something come to them that did not come to their forefathers? 68 Or did they not know their Messenger, so they are toward him disacknowledging? 69 or you said that he is possessed by satan? In fact, he has brought you the truth, but most of you dislike it. 70 But if the Truth had followed their inclinations, the heavens and the earth and whoever is in them would have been ruined. Rather, We have brought them their message, but they, from their message, are turning away. 71 Or do you ask of them any tribute? In that case the tribute of your Lord is better, for He is the best of providers. 72 And indeed you call them to the Straight Path. 73 and surely they that believe not in the world to come are deviating from the path. 74 ۞ And even if We gave them mercy and removed what was upon them of affliction, they would persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. 75 We seized them with the punishment, but they did not surrender to their Lord, nor will they humble themselves 76 Until when We have opened before them a door of severe punishment, immediately they will be therein in despair. 77
