Nay! By the moon 32 And by the night when it withdraws, 33 and the morning when it appears, 34 It is surely one of the greater, 35 a warning to humankind, 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Every soul, for what it has earned, will be retained 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 in Gardens they will question 40 From the guilty. 41 "What has caused you to enter Hell?" 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 And plunged into useless things with those who were obstinate, 45 and we gave the lie to the Day of Judgement 46 until certainty came upon us [in death]." 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 Why then do they turn away from the admonition 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 running away from a lion? 51 Nay, every man of them desires to be -- given -- scrolls unrolled. 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 Never so, as this is a reminder. 54 So whosoever willeth may heed it. 55 they will only take heed if God so wills: He is the Lord who is worthy to be feared: the Lord of forgiveness. 56
