Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the snorting courses, 1 striking sparks of fire with their hooves, 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 So thereupon raising dust. 4 Then rush thereby upon an assembly: 5 surely, man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 And indeed he is ardent for the love of good (wealth, becoming greedy). 8 ۞ Is he not aware of the time when the contents of the graves will be brought out? 9 And that within the breasts is obtained, 10 Indeed, their Lord with them, that Day, is [fully] Acquainted. 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
