Al-Haaqqah 2 of 2
But nay! I swear by that which you see, 38 And what you do not see, 39 because the Quran is certainly the word of a reverent messenger. 40 It is not the speech of a poet (little do you believe) 41 nor is it the speech of a soothsayer little do you remember. 42 (This is) a Message sent down from the Lord of the Worlds. 43 And if he had forged concerning us some discourses. 44 We would surely have seized him by the right hand, 45 Then We would have cut from him the aorta. 46 And not one of you would have been able to stop (Us). 47 But verily this is a Message for the Allah-fearing. 48 We know that there are some among you who will belie. 49 And verily it shall be an occasion of anguish unto the infidels. 50 But verily it is Truth of assured certainty. 51 Then magnify the Name of thy Lord, the All-mighty. 52
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
