And indeed We created towers in the skies, and beautified it for the beholders. 16 And We have guarded it from every outcast devil, 17 Except for he who steals the listening and is then pursued by a visible flame. 18 And We spread out the earth, and placed mountains as anchors in it, and in it grew all things by a proper measure. 19 and there appointed for you is a livelihood, and for those you do not provide. 20 And there is not a thing but with Us are the stores thereof. And we send it not down save in appointed measure. 21 And We send the winds fertilizing (to fill heavily the clouds with water), then caused the water (rain) to descend from the sky, and We gave it to you to drink, and it is not you who are the owners of its stores [i.e. to give water to whom you like or to withhold it from whom you like]. 22 And verily We! it is We who give life and death, and We shall be the survivors. 23 We know those who lived before you and those who will come after you. 24 It is your Lord who will gather them. He is all wise and all knowing. 25
