And the dwellers of Al Hijr also belied the Messengers. 80 We brought them Our signs, and they turned away from them. 81 And they were hewing out houses from mountains feeling secure. 82 But the shriek seized them at early morning. 83 and of no avail to them was all [the power] that they had acquired. 84 AND [remember:] We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them without [an inner] truth; but, behold, the Hour [when this will become clear to all] is indeed yet to come. Hence, forgive [men's failings] with fair forbearance: 85 Surely your Lord is the All Knowing Creator! 86 AND, INDEED, We have bestowed upon thee seven of the oft repeated [verses,] and [have, thus, laid open before thee] this sublime Qur'an: 87 Do not even cast your eyes towards the worldly goods We have granted to different kinds of people, nor grieve over the state they are in, but turn your loving attention to the believers instead, 88 Say, "Indeed, I am simply one who warns." 89 Such as We send down for those who make division, 90 those who had split up their Qur'an into pieces. 91 By thy Lord, We will question them all. 92 For all their deeds. 93 Then declare what you are commanded and turn away from the polytheists. 94 We suffice thee against the mockers, 95 Who set up along with Allah another ilah (god), they will come to know. 96 Indeed, We know that your breast is straitened at what they say. 97 So exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord and be of those who prostrate [to Him]. 98 Worship your Lord until you achieve the ultimate certainty. 99
True are the words of God the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
