The folk of Lot denied the messengers (of Allah), 160 When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 161 Lo! I am a faithful messenger unto you, 162 "So fear Allah, keep your duty to Him, and obey me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the lord of the Worlds. 164 Do you, in the world, want to have carnal relations with males 165 leaving aside those whom Allah has created for you as your mates. Nay, you are a people that has transgressed all limits." 166 They said: "If you cease not. O Lout (Lot)! Verily, you will be one of those who are driven out!" 167 [Lot] exclaimed: "Behold, I am one of those who utterly abhor your doings!" 168 My Lord! deliver me and my household from that which they work. 169 Thereupon We saved him and all his household 170 Except an old woman among those who remained behind. 171 We then destroyed the others. 172 And We rained on them a rain. So ill was the rain on those warned? 173 Surely in this there is a sign: but most of them would not believe: 174 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 175
