Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 The revelation of the Scripture whereof there is no doubt is from the Lord of the Worlds. 2 Do they say, "He has invented it himself."? No indeed! It is the truth from your Lord to warn a people to whom, before you, no warner came, so that hopefully they may be rightly guided. 3 It was Allah, who, in six days created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, and then willed to the Throne. You have no guardian nor intercessor other than Him. Will you not remember? 4 He plans (all) the job(s) from the heaven to the earth – then it will return to Him on the Day which amounts to a thousand years in your count. 5 This is the Knower of the unseen and the seen, the Mighty the Merciful, 6 who gave everything its perfect form. He originated the creation of man from clay, 7 then He made his progeny from an extract of a humble fluid. 8 Then He moulded him; He breathed His Spirit into him; He gave you hearing, sight, and hearts. How seldom you are grateful! 9 For, [many are] they [who] say: "What! After we have been [dead and] lost in the earth, shall we indeed be [restored to life] in a new act of creation?" Nay, but [by saying this] they deny the truth that they are destined to meet their Sustainer! 10 ۞ Say, "The angel of death will take you who has been entrusted with you. Then to your Lord you will be returned." 11
