▼ 55 The All Compassionate
Al-Rahman 3 of 3
And for one who fears to stand before his Lord, are two Gardens. 46 which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 47 [There will be two gardens with] spreading branches. 48 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 49 In the two gardens there will be two flowing springs. 50 Which of your Lord's favours will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 51 therein of every fruit two kinds -- 52 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 53 Reclining on beds, the inner coverings of which are of silk brocade; and the fruits of the two gardens shall be within reach. 54 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 55 In these [gardens] will be mates of modest gaze, whom neither man nor invisible being will have touched ere then. 56 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? - 57 They are like rubies and coral-stone. 58 which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 59 Can any thing else be a response to a favor but a favor? 60 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 61 And besides those two will be yet two [other] gardens 62 jinn and mankind - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny 63 two [gardens] of the deepest green. 64 Then which of the favours of your Lord will ye deny? 65 In which will be two fountains gushing forth. 66 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 67 In both are fruits and palms and pomegranates. 68 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 69 In them will be fair (Companions), good, beautiful;- 70 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 71 Companions restrained (as to their glances), in (goodly) pavilions;- 72 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 73 [companions] whom neither man nor invisible being will have touched ere then. 74 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 75 Reclining on green cushions and rich beautiful mattresses. 76 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 77 Blessed be your Lord's name, full of glory and majesty! 78
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
