And remember Our servant Job, when he called to his Lord, "Indeed, Satan has touched me with hardship and torment." 41 'Stamp thy foot! This is a laving-place cool, and a drink.' 42 We gave him back his family and doubled their number as a blessing from Us and as a reminder to the people of understanding. 43 "And take in thy hand a little grass, and strike therewith: and break not (thy oath)." Truly We found him full of patience and constancy. How excellent in Our service! ever did he turn (to Us)! 44 And remember Our servants Ibrahim and Ishaq and Yaqoub, men of power and insight. 45 We chose them for a special [purpose] -- proclaiming the message of the Hereafter: 46 Indeed with Us they are among the chosen, the excellent. 47 And remember Ishmael, Elisha and Dhu'l-Kifl. Every one of them is among the best. 48 Such is their noble story. The pious ones will certainly have the best place to return. 49 Gardens of Eden, whereof the gates are opened for them, 50 Wherein, reclining, they call for plenteous fruit and cool drink (that is) therein. 51 ۞ and wherein there shall be with them well-matched, bashful mates. 52 This is what you are promised for the Day of Reckoning: 53 this is Our unending provision' 54 This (for the virtuous); but for the transgressors the evil destination, 55 they will burn, in Hell, an evil resting place -- 56 All this (is for them); so let them taste boiling water and pus, 57 and other similar to it, joined together. 58 “Here is another group that was with you, falling along with you”; they will answer, “Do not give them plenty of open space; they surely have to enter the fire – let them also be confined!” 59 But they will say: 'No, it is you that has no welcome. It was you who brought it upon us, an evil place' 60 They will say: “Our Lord, give twofold punishment in the Fire to him who has led us to this.” 61 And they will say: "What has happened to us that we see not men whom we used to number among the bad ones? 62 Took we them so unjustly for a butt of mockery, or are they deluding our eyes? 63 Verily all this is true. This is how the inmates of the Fire will dispute among themselves. 64
