Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
QAF. I CALL to witness the glorious Qur'an. 1 But they wonder that there has come to them a warner from among themselves, and the disbelievers say, "This is an amazing thing. 2 When we have died and have become dust, [we will return to life]? That is a distant return." 3 We know what the earth diminishes of them, and with Us is a retaining record. 4 Nay, they rejected the truth when it came to them, so they are (now) in a state of confusion. 5 Have they not looked up to the heaven above them, in what wise We have constructed and bedecked it, and that therein is no rift? 6 And the earth -- We stretched it forth, and cast on it firm mountains, and We caused to grow therein of every joyous kind 7 A vision and a reminder for every penitent slave. 8 And We have sent down blessed rain from the sky and made grow thereby gardens and grain from the harvest 9 and tall palm-trees with spathes compact, 10 a provision for the servants, and thereby We revived a land that was dead. Even so is the coming forth. 11 The people of Noah, dwellers of the Ra's, Thamud, 12 And the A-ad, and Fir'awn, and the brethren of Lut. 13 And the Dwellers of the Woods, and the people of Tubb’a; each one of them denied the Noble Messengers, so My promised punishment proved true. 14 Were We then weary with the first Creation, that they should be in confused doubt about a new Creation? 15
