The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ The Merciful One 1 who taught the Quran -- 2 He created the human 3 And taught him to express clearly. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning, 5 And the herbs (or stars) and the trees both prostrate. 6 He raised the heavens and set up the measure, 7 (Transgress not in the Balance, 8 Give just weight and do not skimp the scales. 9 And the earth He has put for the creatures. 10 On it are fruits and palm-trees with sheathed clusters [of dates], 11 And the grain with (its) husk and fragrance. 12 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 13 He created the human from clay, like earthenware 14 And He created Jinns from fire free of smoke: 15 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 16 Lord of the Two Easts, Lord of the Two Wests, 17 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 18 He unleashed the two seas so that they merge together, 19 There is a barrier between them. They encroach not (one upon the other). 20 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 21 From the two oceans comes pearls and coral. 22 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 23 By His command, the ships with raised masts sail on the sea like mountains. 24 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 25

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
