Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what will make you comprehend what the day of decision is? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 Till an appointed term, 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
