The News (Al-Naba')
40 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej) before The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Of what ask they? 1 About the great news - 2 That over which they are in disagreement. 3 By no means! anon they shall know. 4 Yes, indeed, before long they will learn all about it. 5 Did We not make the earth a bed? 6 and the mountains [its] pegs? 7 And We created you in pairs, 8 And We made your sleep to be rest (to you), 9 And made the night as clothing 10 And We made the day for seeking livelihood. 11 And We made above you seven strong ones, 12 And made [therein] a burning lamp 13 And from the wind-driven clouds We send down waters pouring in abundance, 14 That We may produce therewith corn and vegetables, 15 And gardens dense and luxuriant. 16 The Day of Judgment will certainly be the final appointment. 17 the day the Trumpet is blown, and you shall come in troops, 18 and heaven is opened, having gates, 19 and the mountains are set in motion, and become a vapour. 20 Surely hell lies in wait, 21 a resort for the rebellious; 22 there, they shall live for ages, 23 Neither coolness shall they taste therein nor any [thirst-quenching] drink 24 Except boiling water and benumbing cold: 25 Recompense fitted! 26 They indeed hoped not for a reckoning, 27 and they rejected outright Our signs; 28 and everything We have numbered in a Book. 29 [And so We shall say:] "Taste, then, [the fruit of your evil doings,] for now We shall bestow on you nothing but more and more suffering!" 30

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
