Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By those that winnow with a winnowing 1 by the clouds which are heavily loaded with water, 2 Then by oath of those which move with ease. 3 by the angels which distribute the affairs, 4 surely what you are being warned against is true, 5 And the judgment must most surely come about. 6 The heavens webbed-with-tracks is witness 7 Verily ye are in a divided opinion. 8 Let whoever wishes, turn away from Our Quran. 9 Cursed be the liars, 10 Who are careless in an abyss! 11 They ask, "When will the Day of Judgement come?" 12 It will be the Day whereon in the Fire they will be burned 13 and will be told, "Suffer the torment which you wanted to experience immediately". 14 Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and springs, 15 receiving their reward from their Lord. They had been righteous people before the Day of Judgment. 16 They slept little in the night, 17 praying at dawn for God's pardon, 18 and sharing their possessions with the beggars and the deprived. 19 In the earth there is evidence (of the Truth) for those who have strong faith. 20 And also in your ownselves. Will you not then see? 21 In the heavens there is your sustenance and that which you were promised (Paradise). 22 By the Lord of the heavens and the earth, this is certainly true even as you speak. 23
