The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ AR-RAHMAN 1 Has taught (you mankind) the Quran (by His Mercy). 2 He has created man: 3 He has imparted unto him articulate thought and speech. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning. 5 And the herbs (or stars) and the trees both prostrate. 6 And the heaven He raised and imposed the balance 7 Do not transgress the scales. 8 But observe the measure strictly, nor fall short thereof. 9 He set down the earth for the creation. 10 Therein are fruits and palm trees with sheaths, 11 grain with its husk and aromatic herbs. 12 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 13 He created man of fermented clay dried tinkling hard like earthen ware, 14 And He created the jinn of a flame of fire. 15 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 16 He is the Lord of the two easts and the Lord of the two wests. 17 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 18 He unleashed the two seas so that they merge together, 19 between them a barrier they do not overpass. 20 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 21 Out of these two [bodies of water] come forth pearls, both great and small. 22 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord would you then deny? 23 And His are the ships going and coming in the seas, like mountains. 24 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 25
