[Musa (Moses)] said: "O my Lord! Open for me my chest (grant me self-confidence, contentment, and boldness). 25 'and do Thou ease for me my task. 26 and loosen the knot from my tongue 27 that they may understand my words. 28 And appoint for me a minister from my household. 29 Aaron, my brother. 30 “Back me up with him.” 31 and let him share my task, 32 So shall we glorify Thee, 33 And remember You much. 34 Indeed, You are of us ever Seeing." 35 Said He, 'Thou art granted, Moses, thy petition. 36 It is the second time that We have bestowed upon you Our favor. 37 When We revealed to your mother what was revealed; 38 Place him in a chest and throw it into the river, and thereupon the river will cast him ashore, [and] one who is an enemy unto Me and an enemy unto him will adopt him. "And [thus early] I spread Mine Own love over thee - and [this] in order that thou might be formed under Mine eye. 39 Recall when your sister walked along and said, "Shall I guide you to one who will take care of him?" Thus We returned you to your mother, so that her eyes might be cooled and that she might not grieve. And you killed a man and We delivered you from sorrow. We tested you with various trials. You stayed for a number of years among the people of Midian, then you came upto the standard, Moses. 40 "And I have prepared thee for Myself (for service)".. 41 Go with My signs, you and your brother, and do not be lax in remembering Me. 42 Go, both of you to Pharaoh, for he has transgressed all bounds. 43 Speak to him gently. He may possibly take heed or may come to have fear." 44 They said: Our Lord! Lo! we fear that he may be beforehand with us or that he may play the tyrant. 45 'Fear not,' said He. 'Surely I shall be with you, hearing and seeing. 46 Go to him and say, 'We are both messengers from your Lord. Let the Children of Israel go with us, and do not oppress them. We have brought you a Sign from your Lord, and may peace be upon whoever follows the right guidance; 47 Surely it has been revealed to us that the chastisement will surely come upon him who rejects and turns back. 48 Said Firaun, “So who is the Lord of you both, O Moosa?” 49 He said, “Our Lord is One Who gave everything its proper shape, then showed the path.” 50 He said: What then is the state of the generations of old? 51 He said: The knowledge thereof is with my Lord in a Record. My Lord neither erreth nor forgetteth, 52 It is He who made the earth a bed for you, and traced for you paths upon it, and sends down water from the sky, and brings out through it every kind of vegetation 53 Eat and pasture your cattle, (therein); verily, in this are proofs and signs for men of understanding. 54
