O YOU APOSTLES! Partake of the good things of life, and do righteous deeds: verily, I have full knowledge of all that you do. 51 Your religion is one and I am your Lord. Have fear of Me". 52 But people later cut up their religion into bits, each group rejoicing in what they have. 53 So leave them in their intoxication till a time. 54 Do they think that by what We aid them with of wealth and children, 55 We are hastening to reward them for good deeds? No. They do not comprehend. 56 Surely they who from fear of their Lord are cautious, 57 and believe in His messages 58 and those who associate naught with their Lord 59 who give, whatever they give in charity, with their hearts trembling at the thought that they are destined to return to their Lord; 60 it is they who vie with one another in doing good works and shall be the foremost in doing so. 61 And We tax not any person except according to his capacity, and with Us is a Record which speaks the truth, and they will not be wronged. 62 Nay, but their hearts are covered (blind) from understanding this (the Quran), and they have other (evil) deeds, besides, which they are doing. 63 Until, when We grasp those of them who lead a luxurious life with punishment, behold! They make humble invocation with a loud voice. 64 We shall tell them, "Do not cry for help on this day; you will receive none from Us". 65 Our revelations had certainly been recited to you, but you turned your backs to them 66 "In arrogance: talking nonsense about the (Qur'an), like one telling fables by night." 67 Did they never ponder over this Word (of God)? Or has he (to wit, the Messenger) brought something the like of which did not come to their forefathers of yore? 68 Or did they not recognise their apostle, and rejected him? 69 Or, say they: in him is madness? O Aye he brought them the truth, and most of them to the truth are averse. 70 But if the Truth had followed their inclinations, the heavens and the earth and whoever is in them would have been ruined. Rather, We have brought them their message, but they, from their message, are turning away. 71 Or are you asking them for any reward? But the reward of your Lord is the best, for He is the Best of Providers, 72 Indeed you are calling them to a Straight Path, 73 but those who disbelieve the life hereafter deviate from the right path. 74 ۞ If We had mercy on them and removed the distress which is on them, they would obstinately persist in their transgression, wandering in distraction to and fro. 75 Already have We grasped them with punishment, but they humble not themselves unto their Lord, nor do they pray, 76 until, when We open against them a door of terrible chastisement, lo, they are sore confounded at it. 77
